ACCESS TO HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE – This is the first in a series of 4 webinars that are commissioned by the disparities response programmes across Sussex as part of Sussex Health and Care Partnership. SHCP is made up of all of Sussex NHS trust and the three local authorities. The webinars are organised by Diversity Resource International.

This first webinar took place on the 28th of October 2020. The focus and topic of this interactive discussion is fair access to Health and Social Care.  It featured a series of esteemed speakers and an exciting agenda as detailed below.  You can read more about this webinar and watch the full video on our Research page.

The webinar aimed to address some key concerns and share statistics around the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities. Discussions were held around factors which have an impact on health outcomes, experiences and wellbeing for people from ethnically diverse backgrounds including structural, institutional and interpersonal racism.
