lottery fund

DRI has been awarded £10 000 from the National Lottery Community Fund to benefit East Sussex Local communities with digital communication training and resources. The funding will benefit individuals and small business owners who are using digital communication platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft teams, Google Hangouts, and Skype to communicate, present, and train.

The demonstrations and resources offered will not only help provide more skills and confidence in using these platforms but also give guidance on:

  • which platform to choose for your needs
  • security issues
  • best practices
  • common problems solved

What is more, the training resources will be made available in our most popular local foreign languages for those individuals whose first language is not English and would benefit from this training.

DRI is proud to work with our partners Vandu Languages for Translation Services. Vandu has a pool of talented, highly trained and efficient translators who specialise in the relevant language and subject area.  Vandu has been providing translation services to the local community since 1999. You can find out more about Vandu Language service here.

DRI is also proud to recommend the training skills and 15 years of working experience of  Digital Marketing Consultant Rozelle Bowerman to lead the training and provide the training resources to benefit our communities. Rozelle has been providing digital marketing training for businesses and for apprenticeships and is an experienced user in digital communication platforms to train, communicate, host webinars and meetings. She shares her knowledge and personal experience in using these platforms, some of the problems she has faced and how to overcome them.

If you think that you may be able to benefit from this training or may know someone who could benefit please contact us so that we can add you to our mailing list and keep you updated. DRI is committed to providing the best service and we invite any advice or questions that could tailor our service and best serve our local community.

If you have a preferred language, particular issue with a communication platform or communication platform preference, we would love to hear from you.  You can also contact us via e-mail at or through our Social Media channels.

We give thanks to the Lottery Community Fund who is helping communities across the UK and through the Covid 19-Crisis.
