Eastbourne Cultural Involvement Group

Members of Eastbourne’s culturally and ethnically diverse communities are invited to regular meetings throughout the year for the Eastbourne Cultural Involvement Group (ECIG).

These meetings are a chance for us to better understand the experiences, concerns, and perspectives of people from ethnically diverse backgrounds living in Eastbourne.

Upcoming Meetings

Date: Monday 23rd February 2026
Time: 6PM to 8PM

Location: Court Room in Eastbourne Town Hall, Grove Road, Eastbourne BN21 4UG.

Bring friends and family to our last ECIG meetings, to gain connections by meeting new people, and to influence change in Eastbourne by sharing your thoughts, ideas and concerns.

FOOD FOR SHARING IS WELCOME!

Why we're listening

Eastbourne is home to a rich mix of cultures and communities. The ECIG wants to hear the experiences of community members living in the town so that we can share their opinions with the Council, the NHS, community funders and other service providers to uplift under‑represented groups.

We’d love to know…

  • Which local services work well for you?
  • Where could things be better?
  • What would help your family or community thrive?

Our goal is to build meaningful connections and explore how we can work together to address any challenges faced by the community. By building positive relationships, we aim to create a supportive network where everyone’s voice is valued.

What you can expect from the ECIG

We want the ECIG meetings to be a safe, welcoming space where people feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas. But beyond conversation, we’re focused on finding practical solutions and coming up with creative ways to overcome barriers.

Ultimately, we want the changes we work towards to be shaped by you, rooted in your lived experiences and reflective of the diverse needs and aspirations within our community.

Your voice matters, and we want to make sure that it gets the chance to play a crucial role in shaping the positive change that we want Eastbourne communities to achieve.
